Two isozymes of the purine salvage enzyme hypoxanthine-guanine phosphoribosyltransferase (HGPRT) of the apicomplexan protozoan Toxoplasma gondii are encoded by the single HGPRT gene as a result of differential splicing. Western blotting of total T. g

Amongst sulfonylureas, gliclazide is one of the mostly prescribed drugs to diabetic patients and is metabolized extensively by P450 CYP2C9. Among 24-CYP2C9 alleles, the *2/*2 and *3/*3 genotypes showed significantly lower gliclazide clearances with r

The enzyme hypoxanthine-guanine phosphoribosyltransferase (HGPRT) of Plasmodium falciparum plays a key role in the salvage of preformed purine nucleotides from parasite-infected erythrocytes. Since P. falciparum cannot synthesize purines de novo, dev

A comparative study of the collagen of the foot ofLamellidens Sp. and that of the unmodified part of the foot inMytilus edulis shows marked differences in physical properties, amino acid composition and in the degree of stabilization. But both confor
