We present continuous T vector velocity (TVV) effect profiles as a new method for identifying drug effects on cardiac ventricular repolarization. TVV measures the temporal change in the myocardial action potential distribution during repolarization.

Summary: To assess the utility of human-induced pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes (hiPSC-CMs) as an in vitro proarrhythmia model, we evaluated the concentration dependence and sources of variability of electrophysiologic responses to 28 dr

Drug-induced effects on cardiac contractility can be assessed through the measurement of the maximal rate of pressure increase in the left ventricle (LVdP/dtmax) in conscious animals, and such studies are often conducted at the late stage of preclini

Contractility of the myocardium engines the pumping function of the heart and is enabled by the collective contractile activity of its muscle cells: cardiomyocytes. The effects of drugs on the contractility of human cardiomyocytes in vitro can provid

BackgroundWe present a new family of ECG biomarkers for assessing drug effects on ventricular repolarization. We show that drugs blocking inward (depolarizing) ion currents cause a relative increase of the T vector velocity (TVV) and accelerate repol
