A low-power CMOS linear driver IC, optimized for microring modulator-based co-packaged optics, is presented. This 2.5 Vppd driver, assembled with a photonic IC, achieves 2 dB TDECQ at 106 Gb/s PAM4 with 1.33 pJ/bit efficiency.
