Noninvasive imaging of circuit breakers under short-circuit testing is addressed by recording the magnetic field produced over an array of external sensors and by solving an inverse problem to identify the causing current distribution. The temporal a

This work presents a novel diagnostic method to localize Partial Discharges (PDs) inside Medium Voltage (MV) and High Voltage (HV) equipment. The method is well suited for that equipment presenting a bounded domain with fixed Boundary Conditions (BCs

A partial discharge (PD) is a well-known phenomenon particularly important in medium-voltage (MV) and high-voltage (HV) electric devices, eventually leading to failure events. Hence, PD detection and localization are fundamental in order to monitor t

Partial Discharge (PD) is a complex phenomenon that happens in electrically stressed dielectric used in Medium and High Voltage (MV and HV) components. On the market, several devices are available for PD detection but none of them is able to localize
This paper investigates the problem of inertia estimation of power system equivalent areas by a PMU-based approach. Assuming measurements available on the borders of the area, a reduced model is built based on the data acquired during a perturbation.

The temperature distribution as a function of time and space is reconstructed over a non-homogeneous media having an arbitrary three-dimensional geometry. This is done by applying an inverse problem to the collected data from optimally placed sensors
