Development of nuclear energy applications requires data for neutron-induced reactions for actinides in a wide neutron energy range. Here we describe measurements of pre-neutron emission fission fr ...

Neutron-induced fission cross-sections of Tl-205, Pb-204,Pb-206,Pb-207,Pb-208 and Bi-209 have been measured in the energy range from 30 to 180 MeV. The measurements were performed with quasi-monoenergetic neutron beams using a multi-section Frisch-gr

Fission fragment angular distributions have been measured for the 232Th( n , f ) and 238U( n , f ) reactions in the neutron energy range 20–100 MeV. The fragment angular anisotropy for 232Th was found to be systematically larger than that for 238U.

In the frame of the statistical model a semi-empirical description of the angular anisotropy of fission fragments induced by intermediate energy nucleons is given. The dependence of angular anisotropy on nucleon energy and the fissility parameter of

Results of fragment angular anisotropy measurements are given for the 232Th (n, f) and 238U (n, f) reactions in the energy range 20-160 MeV. The energy dependence of the anisotropy is calculated in the context of the Halpern-Strutinsky’s formalism.

Neutron-induced fission cross sections of nalPb and 209Bi have been measured relative to the 238U(n.f) cross section at energies 96 MeV for lead and 133 MeV for bismuth. The measurements were performed at the quasi-monoenergetic neutron beam facility

A gridded ionization chamber for fission fragment detection is described. The chamber has been specially designed for use at the quasi-monoenergetic 7Li(p, n) neutron source at the The Svedberg Laboratory, Uppsala, Sweden. The detector permits measur

We have measured fission fragment-mass yields for neutron-induced fission of Th-232 and U-238 at energies 32.8, 45.3, and 59.9 MeV. The experiments were done at quasimonoenergetic neutron beams of ...

Cross sections for neutron‐induced fission of 205Tl, 204, 206, 207, 208Pb, and 209Bi were measured in the energy range from 35 MeV to 174 MeV. The experiments were done at the neutron beam facility of The Svedberg Laboratory, using a multi‐sectio
