International audience; We build a resonant fiber optic gyro based on Kagome hollow-core fiber. A semi-bulk cavity architecture based on an 18-m-long Kagome fiber permits achieving a cavity finesse of 23 with a resonance linewidth of 700 kHz. An opti

Over the last few years, there has been an increasing demand for medium-grade gyroscopes to fill the gap (in terms of cost and performance) between MEMS and current optical devices. There has also been a longstanding quest for a compact high-grade gy

International audience; The gas Ring Laser Gyroscope is an excellent in- ertial rotation sensor. Nevertheless, its accuracy at low angular velocities is limited by the (very small) imperfections of the mirrors forming its optical cavity. In this pape

Contrast and finesse of a 19-cell hollow-core photonic bandgap fiber resonator are experimentally investigated. The results show compatibility with medium to high performance rotation sensing applications, while minimizing the Kerr effect.

We report our progress towards a high performance solid-state ring laser gyro using a diode-pumped Nd-YAG crystal as the gain medium. We then discuss the possibility of including in this device a highly dispersive medium, which could serve for testin
