The action of AlCl3 on room-temperature tetrachloromethane solutions of anti-B18H22 (1) results in a mixture of fluorescent isomers, 3,3′-Cl2-B18H20 (2) and 3,4′-Cl2-B18H20 (3), together isolated in a 76% yield. Compounds 2 and 3 are capable of t

In this work, we report the synthesis of a room-temperature-stable electride (RoSE) reagent, namely K+(LiHMDS)e− (1) (HMDS: 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexamethyldisilazide), from accessible starting materials (potassium metal and LiHMDS) via mechanochemical ball

Two coordination complexes have been made by combining the dithiolene complexes [M(mnt)2]2- (mnt = maleonitriledithiolate; M = Ni2+ or Cu2+) as anion, with the copper(II) coordination complex [Cu(Stetra)] (Stetra = 6,6'-bis(4,5-dihydrothiazol-2-yl)-2

While the reaction between three equivalents of the alkali metal phosphido-borane complexes [R2P(BH3)]M (M = Li, Na, K; R = Ph, iPr) with SnCl2 gave the tris(phosphido-borane)stannates [M{R2P(BH3)}3Sn], similar reactions between [tBu2P(BH3)]M and SnC

A new polymorph of cannabidiol (CBD, form 2), a bioactive phytocannabinoid, was discovered via high-throughput crystallisation. CBD form 2 fits within a series of crystal structures of CBD C-5′ homologues, forming a set of homologous isomorphs.

Multidentate neutral amine ligands play vital roles in coordination chemistry and catalysis. In particular, these ligands are used to tune the reactivity of Group-1 metal reagents, such as organolithium reagents. Most, if not all, of these Group-1 me
