The phosphors Zn(1-x) Mo(1-y)Si(y)O4 : Eu(x)3+ (0.05or = xor = 0.30, 0or = yor = 0.09) were prepared by solid state reaction technique at 800 degrees C. The powder X-ray diffraction patterns of the samples show that the phosphors are of single phase
