Abstract Dawn's framing camera observed boulders on the surface of Vesta when the spacecraftwas in its lowest orbit (Low Altitude Mapping Orbit, LAMO). We identified, measured, and mapped boulders in LAMO images, which have a scale of 20 m per pixel.

Imaging by the Dawn-spacecraft reveals that fresh craters on Ceres below 40 km often exhibit numerous boulders. We investigate how the fast rotating, low-gravity regime on Ceres influences their deposition. We analyze size-frequency distributions of

The dwarf planet Ceres has been explored by NASA's Dawn spacecraft with the goal of characterizing its geology, mineralogy, topography, shape, and internal structure. One outcome of this exploration is the production of geologic maps, meant to unveil

The 2012 Mw 7.8 Haida Gwaii earthquake confirmed very oblique subduction and slip partitioning at the southern Queen Charlotte margin. In this study, we re‐examine the thermal regime near the earthquake using new model constraints and with the reco
Traditional maps of Hellas Planitia, the most prominent impact basin on Mars, have focused on the delineation of continuous surface units. We applied the newly developed grid-mapping method in order to quantitatively analyze the distribution and geos

A geologic map at a scale of 1:1,000,000 of the Ac-11 Sintana quadrangle (21–66°S and 0–90°E) from the dwarf planet Ceres and based on data from NASA's Dawn spacecraft, was produced as part of a geologic mapping campaign in order to investigate

Craters on Ceres, such as Haulani, Kupalo, Ikapati, and Occator show postimpact modification by the deposition of extended plains material with pits, multiple lobate flows, and widely dispersed deposits that form a diffuse veneer on the preexisting s
