We describe an autosomal dominant, multi-generational, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) pedigree in which disease co-segregates with a heterozygous p.Y374X nonsense mutation within TDP-43. Mislocalization of TDP-43 and formation of insoluble TDP-4

Reversible formation of PHF-like phosphorylated tau, an early feature of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) was previously shown to occur in torpor during hibernation in the Golden hamster (Syrian hamster, Mesocricetus auratus). Here, we tackled the question

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is a devastating neurodegenerative disease which is clinically and aetiologically heterogenous. However, TDP-43 neuropathology is a unifying hallmark found in 97% of ALS cases. Understanding the common pathological pathw

SOD1 mutations are a frequent cause of autosomal dominant familial amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (fALS).1 The D91A SOD1 variant is unique in its association with an atypical form of autosomal recessive fALS in Scandinavia. ALS has also been described
