Hypoxia is the major cause of acute altitude hypoxia injury in acute mountain sickness (AMS). YQ23 is a kind of novel bovine-derived, cross-linked hemoglobin-based oxygen carrier (HBOC). It has an excellent capacity for carrying and releasing oxygen.
