International audience; The poor structural properties of organic-inorganic interfaces and their variability represent the main cause of device under-performance. Understanding and controlling the development of these properties in real time has been

Grazing-incidence fast atom diffraction (GIFAD) is an exceptionally sensitive method for surface analysis, which can be applied not only at room temperature but also at higher temperatures. In this work we use the He-LiF(001) system as benchmark to s

Grazing incidence fast atom diffraction (GIFAD, or FAD) has developed as a surface sensitive technique. GIFAD is less sensitive to thermal decoherence but more demanding in terms of surface coherence, the mean distance between defects. Such high qual

Grazing incidence fast atom diffraction (GIFAD) is a sensitive tool for surface analysis, which strongly relies on the quantum coherence of the incident beam. In this article we study the spot-beam effect, due to contributions coming from different p

We describe a high resolution imaging detector based on a single 80 mm micro-channel-plate (MCP) and a phosphor screen mounted on a UHV flange of only 100 mm inner diameter. It relies on standard components and we describe its performance with one or

A procedure to measure the residual tilt angle $\tau$ between a flat surface and the azimuthal rotation axis of the sample holder is described. When the incidence angle $\theta$ and readout of the azimuthal angle $\phi$ are controlled by motors, an a

We theoretically address grazing incidence fast atom diffraction (GIFAD) for H atoms impinging on a LiF(001) surface. Our model combines a description of the H-LiF(001) interaction obtained from density functional theory calculations with a semiquant
