The $2^{3}P_{0}\ensuremath{-}2^{3}P_{2}$ fine-structure interval ${\ensuremath{\nu}}_{02}$ has been measured using the optical-microwave atomic beam magnetic resonance technique with the result ${\ensuremath{\nu}}_{02}=31908.040$ (20) MHz (0.6 ppm).

The optical-microwave atomic-beam magnetic resonance technique has been used to measure four hyperfine transitions in the ${2}^{3}$P state $^{3}\mathrm{He}$. These were used to determine the three hyperfine interaction constants (in MHz) as follows:

For the first time, a theory has been developed for the structure of the ${2}^{3}$P state of $^{3}\mathrm{He}$ which is consistent with all experimental data. Using our effective Hamiltonian, containing both spin-symmetric and -antisymmetric operator

We have used the theory presented by us in a recent paper to analyze a 1967 level-crossing experiment on the 2 $^{3}P$ state of $^{3}\mathrm{He}$ performed at the University of Michigan. Until now a consistent analysis of the experiment had not been

A measurement, accurate to 3 ppm, is reported of the $2^{3}P_{1}\ensuremath{-}2^{3}P_{2}$ fine structure in ${\mathrm{He}}^{4}$. An atomic-beam optical-microwave resonance technique was used. Two sets of measurements were made on the transition $2^{3

Total cross sections for excitation by electron impact of metastable states in the noble gases helium, neon, argon, krypton, and xenon have been measured as a function of impact energies. A 180\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{} spherical monochromat
