We give a series of numerical examples of competitive evolution in the predation system, showing in some cases how the choice is made to increase the efficiency of the predation mechanism (or other significant parameters) to the detriment of populati

We present a model for the competition of two biological entities into the same species (polyphasie, clonal/sex, cancerous cells), the first one with a birth ratio higher than the second when the resources are abundant, whereas the situation is re

International audience; The causality scheme of an (essentially non symmetric) predator-prey system involves automaticaly advantages and disadvantages highly dependent on time. We study systems with one predator and one or two preys furnishing issues

There are several definitions of persistence of species, which amount to define interactions between them ensuring the survival of all the species initially present in the system. The aim of this paper is to present a wide family of examples in dimen

International audience; We propose a mathematical model for a class of predator-prey systems more complex than the usual one, involving a commensalism effect consisting in an influence of the predator on the sustainability of the prey. This effect in

International audience; We address the biological dynamics problem of the persistence of several species in conditions of non-existence of an equilibrium, including an example of stabilization by predation and the very controversial "competitive excl

Ce texte est la version ecrite d’un expose devant la Societe de Biologie le 17 fevrier 2016. Il contient des reflexions d’un scientifique non biologiste sur la problematique de l’evolution biologique, le type de causalite qu’elle met en œuvr

In a previous work on perturbation theory in population dynamics, we showed several plausible situations of preservation of the biodiversity. We give now an improved version of the method exhibiting a phenomenon of emergence of structured diversity.

This text is the written version of a talk at the Société de Biologie on February 17, 2016. It contains reflections of a non-biologist scientist on general problems of biological evolution, including the kind of causality involved, the ideas emergi

International audience; The present work is a contribution to the understanding of the sempiternal problem of the “burden of factor two” implied by sexual reproduction versus asexual one, as males are energy consumers not contributing to the prod
