Maximum power that can be radiated by an Axially Extracted Vircators is calculated using a mathematical model. The established limits are compared against the results of experiments and simulations available in the literature.

In this paper we present a study on the diode current in Vircators working in non-relativistic regime. An approximated expression for the Space-Charge-Limited current density, as a function of the electric field is presented. The results are compared
