The Emerson-White Hours (MS Typ 443–443.1, Houghton Library, Harvard University) is a book of hours and missal produced in Valenciennes, Bruges, and Ghent in the late 1470s or early 1480s. There are seven full-page miniatures (many more have been r

We have investigated hydroxylation and water adsorption on α Fe 2O3(0001) at water vapor pressures up to 2 Torr and temperatures ranging from 277 to 647 K (relative humidity (RH) < 34%) using ambient-pressure X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS).

The problem of excessive ion fragmentation observed in the mass spectra of organic aerosols is addressed by varying the photon energy used to ionize the vaporized particles. Oleic acid aerosols are vaporized by either an IR CO 2 laser or by impaction

We have investigated the reaction of water vapor with the MgO(100) surface using ambient pressure X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (AP-XPS), which permits the study of the chemical composition of the MgO/water vapor interface at p(H2O) in the Torr ra
