A multimodal dataset is presented, which has been collected for analyzing and measuring the quality of movement performed during sport activities. Martial arts (namely karate) are taken as test-beds for investigation. Karate encompasses predefined s

We port Boolean set operations between 2D shapes to surfaces of any genus, with any number of open boundaries. We combine shapes bounded by sets of freely intersecting loops, consisting of geodesic lines and cubic Bézier splines lying on a surface.

We present a practical framework to port Bzier curves to surfaces. We support the interactive drawing and editing of Bzier splines on manifold meshes with millions of triangles, by relying on just repeated manifold averages. We show that direct exten

Motion capture (MoCap) data as time series provide a rich source of input for human movement analysis; however, their multidimensional nature makes them difficult to process and compare. In this paper, we propose a visual analysis technique that allo

We present a new fully automatic block-decomposition algorithm for feature-preserving, strongly hex-dominant meshing, that yields results with a drastically larger percentage of hex elements than prior art. Our method is guided by a surface field tha

Spot heights and soundings explicitly indicate terrain elevation on cartographic maps. Cartographers have developed design principles for the manual selection, placement, labeling, and generalization of spot height locations, but these processes are
