Isoxazole is a synthetic steroid of the family of androstano[2,3-d] isoxazoles. It is an antiprogesterone (A-P), since by inhibiting the enzyme 3β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase (3β-HSDH), it blocks the conversion of pregnenolone to progesterone (P).
