ESIPT-capable zinc(ii) complexes with an ESIPT-ligand featuring spatially separated metal binding and ESIPT sites have been synthesized. The complexes undergo phototautomerization and show excitation wavelength dependent fluorescence.

Silver(I) complexes with 2-amino-4-phenyl-6-methylpyrimidine (L), [Ag3L2(H2O)0.55(NO3)3]n (1) and [Ag2L2(PPh3)2(NO3)2] (2), have been synthesized and structurally characterized. In the solid state the free ligand L demonstrates dual fluorescence: a h
