Residual amplitude modulation in integrated electro-optic InP-based phase modulators is measured and its effect in the Pound-Drever-Hall frequency stabilization aimed at 10kHz stability is investigated. Optimum operating conditions are presented.

A ring mode-locked laser fabricated as a monolithic photonic integrated circuit using a InP based integration technology is presented. It generates an optical coherent comb around 1542 nm with a record 11.5 nm 3 dB bandwidth.
