Data and supporting documentation were compiled and analyzed for 26 cases of gas grab samples taken during waste-tank core sampling activities between September 1, 1995 and December 31, 1997. These cases were tested against specific criteria to reduc

The CONUP code calculates the current tag isotopic concentrations for the Tag Gas Analysis Code, SMTAG. The combined codes, CONUP and SMTAG, represent the Tag Gas System. CONUP produces tag concentrations that are decayed and transmuted over specific

A comparison of theoretical distorted wave impulse approximation results with the experimental data for the excitation of “stretched” 6− T = 0 and 6− T = 1 levels in 24Mg and 28Si by 135 MeV protons suggests significant differences in the str

We first consider a projectile scattering from a nucleon bound in a fixed potential. A separable Galilean invariant projectile-nucleon interaction is adopted. Without using the fixed scatterer approximation or using closure on the intermediate target

An enhancement of the π− nuclear response over the π+ is found for both the T = 0 and T = 1 “stretched” states of light even-even nuclei when continuum single-particle wave functions are used. Isospin-mixing between these states is discussed.

We have measured the angular and momentum distributions of the scattered pions from the reaction /sup 12/C(..pi../sup +/,..pi../sup +/d)/sup 10/B in a coincidence experiment. We compare our results with two theoretical models based on the impulse app

A finite expansion for the scattering of a structureless projectile from a complex target of A particles is presented. This development is given as a spectator expansion, in the sense that the first term represents the scattering of the projectile fr

A nonrelativistic quantum field theoretic formulation of pion-nucleus scattering is presented. A nonrelativistic boson-complex-target Low equation is developed, in which the coupling between the incident boson and target constituent particles is comp
