An analytical z-scan curve expression of a refractive and absorptive nonlocal thin medium is obtained. The sample transmittance is represented as the product of a purely refractive transmittance multiplied by a purely absorptive one.

Z-scan curves in thick nonlinear nonlocal media are analytically calculated by considering the sample as a stack of thin slices without coupling of nonlinearities between them. Obtained results are compared with previously reported in literature.
