Survival outcomes of grade group 5 (GG5) prostate cancer (PCa) after standard of care therapy (SOC) remain poor. Evidence suggest that high dose rate brachytherapy (HDR) and androgen depravation therapy (ADT) can serve as immune modulators. We hypoth

Quantitative image features, also known as radiomic features, have shown potential for predicting treatment outcomes in several body sites. We quantitatively analyzed (18)Fluorine–fluorodeoxyglucose ((18)F-FDG) Positron Emission Tomography (PET) up

The authors designed data, methods, and metrics that can serve as a standard, independent of any software package, to evaluate dose-volume histogram (DVH) calculation accuracy and detect limitations. The authors use simple geometrical objects at diff

This paper describes the process of commissioning a flattening filter free 6MV (6XFFF) beam with brass compensators. The beam model limitations due to the beam hardening and scatter in the compensator are discussed. Measured and calculated inhomogene

Compensator-based IMRT coupled with the high dose rate flattening filter free (FFF) beams offers an intriguing possibility of delivering an intensity modulated radiation field in just a few seconds. As a first step, the authors evaluate the dosimetri
