Based on an improved Stöber strategy, a phenol-formaldehyde resin-based carbon was developed for p-MPSCs. With optimum ratio of EtOH and H2O, the open-circuit voltage (Voc) increases from 0.97 V to 1.03 V with a maximum PCE of 17.64%.
