This letter develops a new technique that significantly reduces the bandwidth requirements of the drain supply for an envelope tracked power amplifier (ET-PA). The achieved bandwidth reduction is clearly quantified, and requires almost no processing.

In this work, we present a novel metric for the total PA or Tx nonlinear distortion in form of an output signal nonlinear power. The presented metric takes into account all sources of distortion and it evaluates a nonlinear distortion that appears in

This paper demonstrates dynamic gate and drain supply modulation for simultaneous efficiency enhancements and linearization. Power-Envelope Trajectory (PET) is used to reduce the bandwidth and slew-rate requirements on the dynamic supply. The measure

This paper demonstrates drain supply modulation for simultaneous efficiency enhancements and linearization. A power-envelope trajectory is used to reduce the slew-rate requirements on the dynamic supply of a supply-modulated PA. The measured 2-GHz PA

This work shows linearity improvement of an 10 W GaN HEMT PA with Auxiliary Power Tracking (APT) technique. It is shown that APT provides higher level of linearity improvement than Auxiliary Envelope Tracking (AET) with 1 percentage point higher PAE.

This paper presents investigation on how linearity performance changes for different gate bias voltages for the ET and AET 10 W GaN HEMT power amplifier. It is shown that by selecting optimal gate bias voltage, AM-AM and AM-PM transfer characteristic

A significant linearity improvement of the power amplifier (PA) performance designed for and subjected to dynamic gate bias operation, is shown in a comprehensive computer simulation. Simulation was based on a data measured with a time domain measure

In this work we present linearity improvement of a 10 W GaN HEMT PA using a dynamic gate biasing technique for flattening a transfer phase of the PA according to the instantaneous input power. A dynamic Vgs calculation was based on a one-tone power s
