Abstract Local deformation of atomically thin van der Waals materials provides a powerful approach to create site-controlled chip-compatible single-photon emitters (SPEs). However, the microscopic mechanisms underlying the formation of such strain-in

Abstract We present and experimentally study the effects of the photonic spin–orbit coupling on the real space propagation of polariton wavepackets in planar semiconductor microcavities and polaritonic analogues of graphene. In particular, we demon

Exciton-polaritons offer a versatile platform for realization of all-optical integrated logic gates due to the strong effective optical nonlinearity resulting from the exciton-exciton interactions. In most of the current excitonic materials there exi

International audience; Photonic platforms are an excellent setting for quantum technologies because weak photon-environment coupling ensures long coherence times. The second key ingredient for quantum photonics is interactions between photons, which

We study the influence of optical selection rules and polarization splittings on properties of exciton polaritons in a planar AlGaAs waveguide containing embedded GaAs quantum wells. We demonstrate that transverse electric and transverse magnetic mod
