A novel strain transfer model for surface-bonded sensing cables with multilayered structure is developed and validated experimentally on two surface-mounted cable prototypes with three different bonding lengths and five load cases, demonstrating the
An enhanced short cavity scheme for Brillouin sensing employing a Brillouin fiber ring laser has been studied, showing a good laser efficiency, a narrow full width half maximum of generated light and a low intensity noise up to 800 MHz, constituting
