In this article, we examine $L^2$ well-posedness and stabilization property of the dispersion-generalized Benjamin-Ono equation with periodic boundary conditions. The main ingredient of our proof is a development of dissipation-normalized Bourgain sp

We establish local exact control and local exponential stability of periodic solutions of fifth order Korteweg-de Vries type equations in Hs(𝕋), s > 2. A dissipative term is incorporated into the control which, along with a propagation of regulari

We shall study special regularity properties of solutions to some nonlinear dispersive models. The goal is to show how regularity on the initial data is transferred to the solutions. This will depend on the spaces where regularity is measured.

This paper considers the initial value problem for a class of fifth order dispersive models containing the fifth order KdV equation $$\partial_tu - \partial_x^5u - 30u^2\partial_xu + 20\partial_xu\partial_x^2u + 10u\partial_x^3u = 0.$$ The main resul

Pine forests in the Adelaide Hills, originally planted and managed as a source of timber, have become important as a recreation destination, close to the Adelaide urban area, with free public access. A count of forest visitors was carried out over a

SUMMARY This paper compares pastoralists in South Australia in the nineteenth century with Australian mining companies in the twentieth century as they resist the efforts of government to extract a greater proportion of the wealth created in the expl

Economic geography has undergone a number of paradigm shifts since the Von Thunen model was at the peak of its popularity in the 1960s and 1970s. This study examines the cost of moving wheat from farm to ship in South Australia and constructs a trans

SUMMARY The cost of overcoming distance has played and continues to play an important role in the evolution of Australia's space‐economy. This paper examines the impact of the ‘friction of distance’, as well as the quality of the resource base,
