The cytotoxic activity of extract and isolated saponin from leaves of Agave lechuguilla was investigated. Ethanol extract from leaves of A. lechuguill a exhibited cytotoxic activity against HeLa cells in vitro (50% inhibitory concentration (IC 50 ) =
