We present several novel examples of integrable quadratic vector fields for which Kahan's discretization method preserves integrability. Our examples include generalized Suslov and Ishii systems, Nambu systems, Riccati systems, and the first Painlev\

We show that any system of ODEs can be modified whilst preserving its homogeneous Darboux polynomials. We employ the result to generalise a hierarchy of integrable Lotka-Volterra systems.

Discrete gradient methods are well-known methods of geometric numerical integration, which preserve the dissipation of gradient systems. In this paper we show that this property of discrete gradient methods can be interesting in the context of variat

In this Letter we propose a systematic approach for detecting and calculating preserved measures and integrals of a rational map. The approach is based on the use of cofactors and Discrete Darboux Polynomials and relies on the use of symbolic algebra

Manin transformations are maps of the plane that preserve a pencil of cubic curves. They are the composition of two involutions. Each involution is constructed in terms of an involution point that is required to be one of the base points of the penci

Nassella neesiana (Chilean needle grass) is a South American grass species that is a serious weed in Australia and New Zealand. The rust fungus Uromyces pencanus is a promising biocontrol agent that could be used to control the weed in both countries

We apply Kahan's discretisation method to three classes of 2-dimensional quadratic vector fields with quadratic, resp cubic, resp quartic Hamiltonians. We show that the maps obtained in this way can be geometrically understood as the composition of t
