Let us recall the reasons for taking dark matter, and in particular non-baryonic dark matter, very seriously in the context of galaxy formation.

We present ALMA observations of a small but statistically complete sample of twelve 250 micron selected galaxies at $z=0.35$ designed to measure their dust submillimeter continuum emission as well as their CO(1-0) and atomic carbon [CI](3P1-3P0) spec

We have explored the properties of a peculiar object detected in deep optical imaging and located at the tip of an H » I tail emerging from Hickson Compact Group 16. Using multiband photometry from infrared to ultraviolet, we were able to constrain

In the light of the discovery of numerous (almost) dark galaxies from the ALFALAFA and LITTLE THINGS surveys, we revisit the predictions of Jimenez et al. 1997, based on the Toomre stability of rapidly-spinning gas disks. We have updated the predicti

We present the detailed characterisation of a sample of 56 sources serendipitously detected in ALMA band 7, as part of the ALMA Large Program to INvestigate CII at Early Times (ALPINE) in COSMOS and ECDFS. These sources have been used to derive the t

We study the shape and kinematics of simulated dwarf galaxy discs in the APOSTLE suite of $\Lambda$CDM cosmological hydrodynamical simulations. We find that a large fraction of these gas-rich, star-forming discs show weak bars in their stellar compon

We have characterized a sample of extended X-ray sources in the A1367 galaxy cluster that lack optical counterparts. The sources are galaxy size and have an average total mass of $1.3\times10^{11}$ solar masses. The average hot gas mass is $3.0\times

We used the neutral atomic hydrogen data of the Very Large Array for the spiral galaxy NGC 5921 with z = 0.0045 at the distance of 22.4 Mpc, to investigate the nature of dark matter. The investigation was based on two theories, namely, dark matter an
