The extreme light infrastructure attosecond light pulse source offers beamtime for users of various attosecond and particle sources driven by versatile laser systems. Here we report on the state of the art of a few-cycle, multi-TW, 1kHz repetition ra

Generation of intense, isolated attosecond pulses [1] is the main motivation for the development of laser systems which are producing few-cycle, TW-level pulses [2–5]. The ELI-ALPS Single Cycle Laser (SYLOS) aims to provide 20 TW single cycle pulse

Recently, the SYLOS optical parametric chirped pulse amplification (OPCPA) system at ELI-ALPS set new records in terms of combination of peak and average power (5.5TW at 53W average power), as well as energy and CEP stability for a TW-class OPCPA sys

We demonstrate a highly-stable, 1 kHz, 200 mJ, 1.1 ps, 1030 nm laser with good beam quality as an inverse-Compton-scattering driver, optically synchronized with 33-fs rms jitter to a photocathode laser that triggers electron beams.

Optical parametric chirped pulse amplification (OPCPA) is widely recognized as a key technique for producing intense few-cycle light pulses for attosecond science [1]. Owing to the continuous improvement of diode-pumped solid state (DPSS) lasers, the

We demonstrate broadband parametric amplification in GaSe crystal in noncollinear geometry. Seed pulses spanning 1.5-2.6μm are produced by cascaded χ(2) nonlinearity in a periodically poled Rb:KTP crystal. Amplified pulse bandwidths supporting 10-1

We investigate nonlinear crystal type multiplexing as means of increasing the bandwidth of a parametric amplification system pumped at 532nm. Experimental results and numerical simulations indicate that sub-2 cycle pulse durations and multi-mJ pulse

We uncover that thin (of few tens of μm thickness) BBO crystal exhibits reasonable transmittance and phase matching in the 3 − 5.2 μm range. We also provide refined dispersion equations of the ordinary and extraordinary refractive indexes for the
