The products of the reactions of I2 and CH3I with Ru(CO)2(triphos) (triphos=etp (PhP(CH2CH2PPh2)2), ttp (PhP(CH2CH2CH2PPh2)2) and Cyttp (PhP(CH2CH2CH2PCy2)2)) were characterized by 31P{1H}, 1H, 13C{1H} NMR and IR spectroscopy, and elemental analyses.
