We have measured the polarized Raman scattering and IR reflection spectra of a BaGa2GeS6 crystal, the Ga and Ge atoms of which are disordered, randomly occupying crystallographic positions of the same kind. The IR reflection spectra have been process

This paper is devoted to a determination of the 0% probability laser-induced damage threshold of the BaGa4Se7 and BaGa2GeSe6 nonlinear elements by the R-on-1 procedure. A Ho:YAG laser radiation at 2091 nm with pulse duration 13-17 ns and varied pulse

Laser induced damage in dark yellow phase of BaGa 4 Se 7 (BGSe) crystal has been investigated at the wavelengths of 1053 nm. Damage by multiple pulse irradiation (500 pulses) has been studied and the probabilistic behavior of the damage is discussed.

The PbGa2S4: Tm3+ crystal was investigated by tunable high-frequency EPR spectroscopy. Two thulium centers located in positions with different local symmetry were observed in the frequency range of 9.8–170 GHz. Both spectra with the resolved hyperf

Widely tunable optical parametric oscillators (OPOs) are attractive sources for applications in mid-IR due to the scarcity of direct-emitting conventional lasers in this spectral region. Recently, two new chalcogenide compounds BaGa 4 Se 7 (BGSe) and

A compact repetitively pulsed broadband carbon monoxide (CO) laser system with intracavity frequency conversion, for which a nonlinear crystal was also used as an output coupler, was launched for the first time, to the best of our knowledge. The lase

We report on the first BaGa4Se7 nanosecond optical parametric oscillator pumped by Q-switched Nd:YLiF4 laser at 1053nm. Mid-infrared idler wave tuning from 2.2 µm to 10.4 µm is demonstrated with an angle-tuned type-I (o-ee) y-cut sample.

Various Dy:PbGa2S4 laser-active material energy transitions originating from the 6H9/2 + 6F11/2 or 6H11/2 energy level were investigated, and the mid-infrared radiation generation has been demonstrated. The Dy:PbGa2S4 laser was pumped by a 1.32-µm f
