Unlike other known anti-fluorescein antibodies, the monoclonal antibody 43.1 is directed toward the fluorescein's carboxyl phenyl moiety. It demonstrates a very high affinity (KD ∼ 70 pM) and a fast association rate (kon ∼ 2 × 107 M−1 s−1).

Here is an up-to-date review of important new methods and results in anti-idiotypes, receptors, and molecular mimicry. It begins with a discussion of the theoretical background of the anti-idiotypic network, it's role in the regulation of immune resp

Histamine-mediated induction of leukocyte rolling and adhesion in the cerebral microcirculation was examined in two inbred strains of mice (SJL/J and BALB/c). A cranial window was surgically prepared for the visualization of the cerebral microcircula

An electroimmunoblot technique was used to detect various forms of myelin basic protein (MBP) in brain homogenates of 14 vertebrate species. Three antibodies were used to probe the immunoblots: a monoclonal anti-human MPB reacting with an antigenic d

A double antibody sequential radioimmunoassay for human myelin basic protein (MBP) has been developed. The assay utilizes a rabbit antibody to human MBP and purified rabbit MBP as the radiolabelled antigen. This assay was used to analyze cerebrospina
