Dual-comb spectroscopy [1] combines extremely high measurement precision with very fast data acquisition. However, the expensive and complex laser systems which usually comprise two modelocked lasers that need to be tightly stabilized to achieve good

For the first time, we use a stabilized dual-comb modelocked semiconductor disk laser to perform dual-comb spectroscopy. A water vapor absorption spectrum around 968 nm is measured with our very compact, simple and cost-efficient system.

We present dual-comb spectroscopy on water vapor with a free-running modelocked semiconductor disk laser. The simple and compact laser emits simultaneously two gigahertz pulse trains with slightly different pulse repetition rates from a single cavity

We demonstrate a 960-nm VECSEL generating 20 W continuous-wave output power in TEM00transverse mode. The highly efficient laser has a slope efficiency of 49% and an overall optical-to-optical efficiency of 43%.

We present a modelocked femtosecond thin disk laser that generates pulse energies beyond the 10-μJ limit. We discuss the first photoelectron imaging spectroscopy measurements at multi-megahertz repetition rate, which is advantageous due to high sign

We present a SESAM-modelocked Yb:YAG laser generating nearly transform-limited femtosecond pulses with 11-muJ energy at 4 MHz repetition rate and excellent beam quality. We discuss the key challenges for further increase of the pulse energy.

The first passively mode-locked Yb:Lu2O3 thin disk laser generates 370-fs pulses with 20.5 W average power. Yb:Lu2O3 is an excellent alternative to femtosecond Yb:YAG thin disk lasers, achieving higher optical-to-optical efficiencies and shorter puls

We demonstrate the first passively mode-locked thin disk laser based on Yb:Lu(2)O(3). The laser generates 370-fs pulses with 20.5 W of average power in a diffraction-limited beam (M(2)1.1). The nearly transform-limited pulses have a spectral bandwidt
