The magnetization of different samples of BiSCCO superconductor have been studied at low fields and the hysteresis loops obtained compared with a numerical simulation. The numerical simulation is used to provide details of the field dependence of the

With a view to the long term exploitation of the high upper critical fields of high temperature and Chevrel phase superconductors and their use in very high field superconducting magnets, we are making measurements of critical currents on practical v

We have performed transport measurements on bridges patterned in misaligned thin films of the superconductor Tl2Ba2CaCu2O8. There is a c-axis component of current flow along the bridge, giving rise to hysteretic Josephson-like current-voltage curves.

Tl2Ba2Ca1Cu2Ox thin films with excellent alignment have been grown on CeO2 buffered R-plane sapphire using an ex situ anneal step in argon atmospheres at temperatures of 720-740°C. With this low-temperature process we have overcome the serious probl

In this work we report on the magnetic behavior of the heterostructures formed by bulk based YBCO rings and ferromagnetic yoke. The magnetization cycle has been performed by an In-Field Hall Mapping technique. A video-like recording of the magnetizat

Superconducting YBCO films on LaAlO3 substrate were prepared for microwave applications. Microstrip resonators from these films were also developed. The surface resistance of the films was evaluated using the parallel plate resonator technique. The c
