The thermoelectric power and magnetoresistivity behaviour of the Gd 7 Rh 3 and Gd 7 Pd 3 single crystals, ordering magnetically at T N = 140 K, and T C = 334 K, respectively, have been investigated. Gd 7 Rh 3 exhibits giant magnetoresistance behaviou

The GdScxTi1−xGe ( x = 0 – 1 ) solid solutions have been studied by means of X-ray powder diffraction and magnetic measurements. It is found that these new compounds crystallize in the CeScSi-type structure. All GdScxTi1−xGe compounds with CeSc

The measurements of the magnetocaloric effect and magnetoresistance have been carried out for GdMnSi and Gd0.5La0.5MnSi compounds. The Δ T -effect is positive in all temperature range for GdMnSi and changes the sign at the region of AFM–FM phase t

Magnetic resistivity ρ and its anomalies in the vicinity of spin-reorientation transitions (SRT) in single crystals of RFe 11 Ti (R = Y, Dy, and Er) are investigated in the temperatures range 4.2-130 K and in magnetic fields up to 8 T. Anomalous inc

The electrical resistivity ρ of V3O5 was measured at pressures to 10 GPa in the temperature range 4.2–500 K. The semiconductor–metal transition (Tc=428 K at normal pressure) shifts to lower temperatures at high pressure, and for ∼4≤P≤9 GPa

ScFe x Al 12− x compounds exist for 4⩽ x ⩽6. However, a single-phase alloy is only obtained for x =4. The x =7 sample contains considerable amounts of unidentified phases. The alloys with x ⩾5 are ferromagnetic, whereas that with x =4 is anti
