The dystrophin–glycoprotein complex (DGC) links the cytoskeleton of muscle fibers to their extracellular matrix. Using knockout mice, we show that a cytoplasmic DGC component, α-dystrobrevin (α-DB), is dispensable for formation of the neuromuscul
