We obtained an axi-symmetric model for the large-scale distribution of stars and dust in the Milky Way (MW) using a radiative transfer code that can account for the existing near-infrared (NIR)/mid-infrared/submm all-sky emission maps of our Galaxy.

Aims. We aim to investigate if the environment (characterised by the host dark matter halo mass) plays any role in shaping the galaxy star formation main sequence (MS). Methods. The Galaxy and Mass Assembly project (GAMA) combines a spectroscopic sur

Galactic diffuse gamma-ray emission is an important constituent among the total observed gamma-ray emission of our Galaxy. Here we present specific developments to accommodate a new Interstellar Radiation Field (ISRF) model for use in the PICARD code

We present an extensively updated version of the purely ray-tracing 3D dust radiation transfer code DART-Ray. The new version includes five major upgrades : 1) a series of optimizations for the ray-angular density and the scattered radiation source f

We study how the sizes and radial profiles of galaxies vary with wavelength, by fitting Sersic functions simultaneously to imaging in nine optical and near-infrared bands. To quantify the wavelength dependence of effective radius we use the ratio, $\

The Galaxy And Mass Assembly (GAMA) survey furnishes a deep redshift catalog that, when combined with the Wide-field Infrared Explorer ($WISE$), allows us to explore for the first time the mid-infrared properties of $> 110, 000$ galaxies over 120 deg

A major difficulty hampering the accuracy of UV/optical star formation rate tracers is the effect of interstellar dust, absorbing and scattering light produced by both young and old stellar populations (SPs). Although empirically calibrated correctio
