Counselling for Sustaining Quality of Life in Old Age: Introducing the German Research Project BELiA
Publikováno v:
Social Work and Society, Vol 10, Iss 1 (2012)
In Germany, social advisory services provision is abundant but confusing. Complex service structure, insufficient transparency, and overlapping services cause access barriers, especially for older clients. A current research project aims to develop a

A tailored nanoparticle modification approach for fibre reinforced polymers (FRP) is presented that allows exact analysis of the impact of a nanoparticle matrix modification in either 0°- or 90°-layers of cross-ply laminates on the mechanical prope

Epoxy/multi-wall carbon nanotubes and epoxy/multi-wall carbon nanotubes/mineral fillers nanocomposites were produced via in situ polymerization assisted by three-roll-milling. Epoxy/multi-wall carbon nanotubes nanocomposites presented very low electr

The subject of this work is the investigation of the size effect on transverse strength of CFRP. A new test approach uses the remaining parts of already tested specimens for a second transverse tensile test. With this method it is analysed, whether f

The size effect of unmodified and graphene nanoparticle modified matrix fibres is experimentally investigated. Neat matrix fibres show a clear size effect of increasing tensile strength with decreasing volume due to a statistical defect distribution.

Fatigue of Materials at Very High Numbers of Loading Cycles ISBN: 9783658245306
The influence of different carbon nanoparticles like multi-walled carbon nanotubes and few layered graphene on the damage initiation and failure mechanisms of carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) under static and fatigue loading up to the very high

For brittle fracture behaviour of carbon fibre reinforced plastics (CFRP) under compression, several approaches exist, which describe different mechanisms during failure, especially at stress intensifications. The failure process is not only initiate

The subject of this work is the investigation of the stress field around a unique void in a fibre-reinforced model composite under compression. Voids were introduced into the epoxy material by injection. The idea was to imitate a real void in fibre r
