The rhodium(I) complexes, [Rh(CO)(PPh3)3]ClO4 (1), [Rh(CO)(AsPh3)3]ClO4 (5), Rh(ClO4)(CO)(PPh3)2 (6) and Rh(ClO4(CO)(AsPh3)2 (7) catalyze the isomerization of 2-methylprop-2-en-1-ol (3) to give 2-methylpropanal (4) at room temperature under nitrogen.
