비양도 화산체의 지질은 하부로부터 스패터층, 분석층, 용암류로 구성된다. 최하부 스패터층은 비양도 북쪽과 서쪽 해안에 분포하며, 엉겨 붙은 스패터와 대형 화산탄들을 포함하고 있다.
