A highly integrated 5.8 GHz transceiver capable of supporting multiple data rates has been designed in 0.18 um SiGe BiCMOS for digital cordless phones and streaming audio applications. It also has a clock data recovery (CDR) circuit which can be supp

In this paper, the DCXO is based on a Pierce oscillator with two MIM capacitor arrays for tuning the anti-resonant frequency of a 19.2MHz crystal. Each array of MIM capacitors is thermometer-coded and formatted in a matrix shape to facilitate layout.

Wireless audio applications at 5.8GHz require a wide band GFSK modulator with small distortion and very low power consumption. The traditional open loop modulation technique is susceptible to pulling. More advance close loop modulation requires preci

Integrating a power amplifier with the rest of a transceiver poses unique challenges particularly at 5.8GHz, where parasitic couplings are inevitable. In this paper we propose system and circuit techniques that are necessary in order to realize a RFI

This paper presents a novel power amplifier (PA) configuration (Class AB+C) which allows low quiescent current and thereby high PAE at low output power levels to be achieved without compromising high power linearity. The designed 800 MHz CDMA PA usin
