International audience; During two beam runs in the years 2016 and 2017, the analyzing powers (Ay) for protons and neutrons scattering on CH2, CH, C and Cu targets were measured at the nucleon momentum from 3.0 to 4.2 GeV/c with the ALPOM2 setup at t

There has been much activity in the measurement of the elastic electromagnetic proton and neutron form factors in the last decade, and the quality of the data has been greatly improved by performing double-polarization experiments, in comparison with

The ratio of the proton form factors, GEp/GMp, has been measured from Q2 of 0.5 GeV2 to 8.5 GeV2, at the Jefferson Laboratory, using the polarization transfer method. This ratio is extracted directly from the measured ratio of the transverse and long

The ratio of the electromagnetic form factors of the proton has been measured at the Jefferson Laboratory at Q 2 values ranging from 0.5 GeV 2 up to 3.5 GeV 2 . The experiment used the recently commissioned Hall A Focal Plane Polarimeter (FPP) to mea

A remarkable change of paradigm was precipitated by the results, obtained in the last 12 years, of new measurements of the proton form factor ratio; the two form factors, G{sub Ep} and G{sub Mp}, are not in a constant ratio, as had been concluded fro

The data base for the form factors of the nucleon obtained from elastic ep scattering is discussed, as well as some recent developments in their calculation.
This is the final report of activity under this grant. The polarimeter is built and awaits installation in the HMS in Hall C, now planned for the Spring of 2007. The experiment itself will occur in the second half of 2007. The parameters of the drift
