2′-(hexyloxy)-[1,1′-biphenyl]-2-yl 5-(dimethylamino)naphthalene-1-sulfonate (KC1) was synthesized by using biphenol and dansyl chloride as starting materials. The KC1 was characterized via single X-ray diffraction, FTIR, HRMS and 1H and 13C-NMR.
