The functional identity of centromeres arises from a set of specific nucleoprotein particle subunits of the centromeric chromatin fibre. These include CENP-A and histone H3 nucleosomes and a novel nucleosome-like complex of CENPs -T, -W, -S and -X. F

The tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) 1/2 is a negative regulator of the nutrient‐sensing kinase mechanistic target of rapamycin complex (mTORC1), and its function is generally associated with tumor suppression. Nevertheless, biallelic loss of funct

The kinetochore proteins assemble onto centromeric chromatin and regulate DNA segregation during cell division. The inner kinetochore proteins bind centromeres while most outer kinetochore proteins assemble at centromeres during mitosis, connecting t

Question: Protein kinase C potentiated inhibitor (CPI-17) was previously described to act as an oncoprotein in the merlin pathway. The myosin phosphatase and its substrate merlin are part of a tumour suppressor cascade that can be blocked in two ways

Gain-of-function alterations in several components and modulators of the Ras-MAPK pathway lead to dysregulation of the pathway and cause a broad spectrum of autosomal dominant developmental disorders, collectively known as RASopathies. These findings
