Abstract A key component of organic bioelectronics is electrolyte‐gated organic field‐effect transistors (EG‐OFETs), which have recently been used as sensors to demonstrate label‐free, single‐molecule detection. However, these devices exhib

Structural change at multiferroic phase boundary is anticipated to have an associated large magnetoelectric response, which yet awaits to be evidenced. Here, Fernández-Posada et al. report electric field-induced phase change for a BiFeO3–BiMnO3–

A low-power laser patterning method enables the production of copper microcracks on 3D surfaces of some important 3D printing polymers, such as ABS and acrylate photopolymer. Tracks as small as 28 μm are produced with a simple 32 mW CV laser diode.

Aurivillius compounds with the general formula (Bi2O2)(An-1BnO3n+1) are a highly topical family of functional layered oxides currently under investigation for room-temperature multiferroism. A chemical design strategy is the incorporation of magnetic

Domain walls in Cu–Cl boracite develop as a consequence of an improper ferroelastic, improper ferroelectric transition, and have attracted close interest because some are conductive and all can be mechanically written and repositioned by applicatio

[EN] A promising approach for obtaining a large magnetoelectric response at room temperature in single-phase materials is to make use of phase-change phenomena at structural instabilities of a multiferroic state. This is the case of perovskites showi

Charged domain walls form spontaneously in Cu-Cl boracite on cooling through the phase transition. These walls exhibit changed conductivity compared to the bulk and motion consistent with the existence of negative capacitance. Here, we present the di
