The authors describe a simple green method for the preparation of zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnONPs) using the aqueous root extract of Scutellaria baicalensis. The synthesized ZnONPs were characterized by UV–Vis spectroscopy, FTIR, TEM, SEM and EDX.
