Field studies and laboratory analyses were conducted to examine factors affecting degradation of14C-atrazine [2-chloro-4-(ethylamine)-6-(isopropylamino)-s-triazine] under field conditions. The effects of these factors on weed control under no-tillage

EPTC(S-ethyl dipropylthiocarbamate) metabolism in corn(Zea maysL. ‘inbred B37’) was studied utilizing carbonyl-14C-EPTC and propyl-1-14C-EPTC. Two radioactive compounds were found in the organic-soluble fraction, namely, EPTC and EPTC-sulfoxide.

Field studies on the persistence of simazine [2-chloro-4,6-bis(ethylamino)-s-triazine] showed less persistence under no-tillage corn(Zea maysL. ‘Pioneer 3369A’) culture than conventionally tilled corn. Bioassay studies conducted in the greenhouse

Metribuzin-3-14C [4-amino-6-tert-butyl-3-(methylthio)-as-triazin-5(4H)-one] was absorbed, translocated, and metabolized by both metribuzin-tolerant ‘Essex’ and metribuzin-sensitive ‘Coker 102’ soybean cultivars [Glycine max(L.) Merr.]. After
